Ahoy Kathy - welcome back to planDisney!
Thanks for swimming by with your question for our team of panelists. We love to help Guests just like you plan your very own, very magical,
Disney Cruise Line adventures!
You've picked one of the itineraries I've had my eyes on - I have to admit that I'm a bit jealous! Kathy, your sailing is currently shown as departing from the
QEII Cruise Terminal in Southampton. As you may already know, Disney Cruise Line doesn't have a
dedicated facility in Southampton because sailings from this port are seasonal. I'm used to departing from Port Canaveral when I sail on a Disney Cruise, and I can still remember the first time I left from a non-Disney terminal. It's a bit of a different experience and it varies greatly from port to port.
The good news is that according to that terminal's website, there are both arrival and departure lounges with restrooms, vending, and other amenities. You should be able to find a place to wait if needed, but if you'll be arriving significantly in advance of
your Port Arrival Time, I recommend finding a nearby restaurant or shopping area to enjoy and then taking a ride-share or taxi to the terminal just before your Port Arrival Time. These times are purposefully designed to stagger Guests and reduce waiting and congestion at the terminal, and there usually aren't any benefits to arriving earlier.
I hope this information helps your planning efforts –
stop by any time with additional questions! Oh, and before I forget, make sure to check out all the magical excitement surrounding Disney Cruise Line’s
Silver Anniversary at Sea!
Bon voyage!
