When I check-in online using my checking account visa card, will the Caribbean Beach Resort put a hold on my account for any amount of money for incidentals at the Hotel like some hotels do? If so, how much of my money will be on hold and inaccessible?

    Hi, Elizabeth!

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel; what a great question!

We love to utilize Walt Disney World Resort hotels' Online Check-In, as it is such a time-saver. When you enter your information during this process online, you are simply streamlining the face-to-face check-in process by adding in personalized information before check-in rather than upon arrival. As such, your credit card will not be charged at that time, nor will there be a hold placed on it.

Instead, once you arrive at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you'll be asked to show the Cast Member assisting you the card that you entered for use during your stay. At that point, the card will be actively attached to your room reservation. Once your room charges get to a pre-set amount, your card will be charged.

With the popularity of MagicBands, the ease of charging to your room has become even better. No more looking through a bag or searching each pocket for a room key to charge; now, you simply tap your MagicBand to a touch point, even if both hands are full of Walt Disney World goodies!

Send more questions as you think of them, Elizabeth; we love to help!
