Will check in 0n 05/08 for a week, 2 adults and dd 5 yrs.Mother's Day is also my wife's 40th b-day. Can't decide between Coronado Springs & CBR. How are those resorts in terms of transportation (bus lines), food selection, pool & rooms. Help !

    Umesh:

In my opinion, Coronado Springs edges out Caribbean Beach Resort, most especially because I believe it will appeal to your wife.

Not only are the rooms far superior in elegance, the resort itself is more upscale, reminding me of something you'd find in Scottsdale, Arizona--Southwest elegance.  Although I favor the rooms in the Casitas buildings because of their fountain courtyards, most rooms on the property are within yards of the large lake in the middle of the property.

The pool sports a nearby boneyard for your daughter along with a slide in its Mayan temple and waterfall. Its food court, though, is its biggest leg up.  With several stations offering everything from Mexican fajitas cooked on the grill in front of your eyes to Chinese cuisine and hearty meat and potatoes fare, there will be something for everyone.  If you and your wife want to celebrate, check out the Mayan Grill or share drinks at Rix.

Both resorts have multiple bus stops. I would recommend asking for a room near the food court and that will put you near the front bus stop and a pleasant walk to the pool!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
