How can I check if there are times available in august without linking tickets? I already have tickets but am not quite ready to choose times and days.

Hello, Debra! I am excited to see that you have a Walt Disney World vacation planned for August. It will be here before your know it. You've got to be getting excited!

Debra, what you need to do is visit the Walt Disney World Theme Park availability calendar. The calendar is broken down into three categories - Guests with Theme Park tickets only, Guests with a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Stay and Annual Passholders. You'll want to be sure you are viewing the calendar that most pertains to you since there are different availability for each category. I went ahead and took a look at the calendar for the month of August and it still does show wide open availability. I'd go ahead and get your itinerary set as soon as possible because days can get filled up pretty fast. If you take a look at the July calendar you'll notice several dates leading up to your vacation are getting booked up. If you end up changing your mind on what park you'd like to visit on what day, you can always change it around. When making your park pass reservations you no longer have to choose an arrival window. Your park pass reservation secures you a spot at the Walt Disney World Theme Park of your choice for the entire day so you can come and go as you please.

If you've opted to add the park hopper option on to your theme park tickets, I wanted to let you know that since its return, parking hopping does look a little bit different than it did before. Guests wishing to park hop must secure a park pass reservation for the initial theme park they'd like to visit each day. On the day of, you'll be required to visit and scan into the park with the park pass reservation first before continuing on to other theme parks later in the day. It is not necessary to make additional park pass reservations each particular day - just that initial one each day. Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. each day and last until each park closes in the evening.

Debra, I hope this helps you plan your itinerary for your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to come back and ask me. I'm here to help.

    Have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
