How do I check to see if my ticket I purchased 10 years is still valid?

    Welcome to planDisney, Terry.

Are you counting down the days until you arrive at The Most Magical Place on Earth? This is certainly the place where "laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, and dreams are forever." Just remember: second star to the right, and straight on 'til morning. Here we gooooooo!

But "let's get down to business" and figure out your ticket situation. If you have an unused Theme Park ticket from ten years ago, then the first thing to do is create and/or sign in to your My Disney Experience account. Go to the "My Plans" page and see if your ticket is visible. If not, hover over "Park Tickets" and click "Link Tickets." When you purchased your ticket, you should have received an ID number. Enter that ID number and that should link your ticket. If you are unable to link your ticket to your account, then you're going to want to call "Existing Tickets" to speak with a helpful Cast Member.

If you are able to successfully link your ticket, you should be able to see if it has expired or not. If it has expired, then Hakuna Matata! You'll be pleased to know that the value of any unused tickets can be applied to new tickets (you'll just have to pay any difference in price). You'll just need to call "Existing Tickets" and a friendly Cast Member will wave their magic wand and help you out.

Once you have your valid ticket, the magic truly begins! If your ticket is linked to your My Disney Experience account, you can then make Theme Park reservations. To help you decide which Theme Park you'd like to visit, check out what's happening for the 50th Anniversary Celebration. If you wanted to visit more than one park in the same day, you could upgrade your ticket to include the Park Hopper Option. At this current time, if you have the Park Hopper Option on your tickets then you can visit another park after 2:00 p.m. (subject to availability).

The new Disney Genie service is complimentary and will help you plan your day in a way that prioritizes what's important to you. You can even purchase Disney Genie+, which gives you lightning-speed access to over 40 attractions.

I hope that information is clarifying, Terry. Mickey and his pals can't wait for you to arrive! Thanks for stopping by planDisney.
