Do we have to check into reserved park prior to 2pm to use tickets (we have park hopper)m

Welcome to planDisney, Karrie! Thanks for swinging by with your question today. I always add the Park Hopper Option to my tickets when I visit Walt Disney World Resort because I love the flexibility of being able to spend time at multiple Theme Parks in one day! I know that the Disney Park Pass system raises some questions about how exactly you can use your Park Hopper tickets, so let's chat about park hopping, the 2 p.m. start time, and everything else you need to know.

Karrie, your ticket is valid for the entire day and does not need to be used before 2 p.m. Park Hopping begins at 2 p.m., but you can use your ticket anytime before or after that if you have a valid Disney Park Pass reservation. One thing that is important to note: you need to scan your ticket and enter the Theme Park for which you have a reservation in order to hop to a second one. For example, if you have a Disney Park Pass reservation for Disney's Animal Kingdom but you plan to hop to Magic Kingdom Park later in the day to enjoy Happily Ever After, you must first use your ticket at Disney's Animal Kingdom before you can hop, even if it's after 2 p.m. Disney Park Pass reservations are flexible and can be modified so if you want to change your plans for the day, it's really easy to do that using the My Disney Experience app!

I hope this answers your question, Karrie, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
