Matt from UT Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

If check in is at 3 PM at the Disneyland Hotel, is it OK if we request to check in at 5:30 PM instead?

Hi there, Matt!  You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney!

I'm so excited to hear that you have a stay planned at the Disneyland Hotel!  My family and I called this hotel our home away from home on our last visit to Disneyland Resort, and we absolutely fell in love with all of its little magical details.  Falling asleep beneath the light-up Sleeping Beauty Castle headboards in our room was among my daughter's favorite things from that vacation.  I must admit that I found this particular room feature incredibly charming as well.  I'm sure you'll love your room at the Disneyland Hotel as much as we did, and I know you'll enjoy the convenience of staying so close to the Downtown Disney District and the theme parks.

While the official check-in time for the Disneyland Hotel is 3:00 p.m., it's no problem at all if you plan on arriving a little later than that.  In fact, when my family and I stayed there, we did not arrive until after 10:00 p.m.  After a long day of traveling from Pennsylvania, our room was ready and waiting for us when we arrived.  I would recommend that you use the mobile check-in feature in your Disneyland app.  When completing this online check-in process, you will be able to note your expected arrival time, so the Cast Members at the hotel will know that you will be arriving later in the day.  To access mobile check-in, open your Disneyland app and click on the three lines in the bottom right corner to bring up the menu screen.  From the menu, click on "My Hotel Reservation."  If you haven't already linked your hotel reservation, you will be prompted to do so.  Once your hotel reservation is linked to your app, you should see a link to complete your mobile check-in.

In addition to spending time in the Disneyland theme parks, I hope that you've planned for some downtime at the Disneyland Hotel as well.  There's so much to see and do there!  I would definitely recommend a meal at Goofy's Kitchen where you can see some of your favorite Disney pals while enjoying a delicious buffet.  For tropical drinks and a super fun atmosphere, stop by Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar.  With their retro-theming and monorail waterslides, the pools at the Disneyland Hotel are the perfect place to take a relaxing break.

Chatting with you about the Disneyland Hotel has brought back so many great memories of my last visit there.  I might just need to book another stay soon!  If we can answer any other questions about your upcoming Disneyland Resort trip, please visit us again.

    See ya real soon!
