Welcome to planDisney, Joan!
Thanks for stopping by with a question about
Disney Bands (also known as MagicBands in the United States). When staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, MagicBands can make your vacation simpler by unlocking your hotel room door, tapping at the theme park turnstile for entry, scanning to add
PhotoPass photos and tapping for payment of food and merchandise (charges will show on your room folio). Let's chat about changing your Personal Identification Number (PIN).
I spoke with a Cast Member about the PIN linked to a MagicBand and unfortunately, there isn't a way to check your PIN. Good news, you can change your PIN through the
My Disney Experience App! First, open the app and click on the three lines ("≡") at the bottom right of the screen. Next, scroll until you find "MagicBands & Cards". Here you'll see a list of Guests you manage - click on the three dots to the right of your name. You will see a new menu pop up with a "PIN" icon on the bottom. Tap "Reset" to create a new PIN that you won't forget.
If you’d rather get help with this step, stop by the
Front Desk of your Disney Resort hotel or visit any Guest Relations location. I’ve reset my PIN at the Front Desk before, and it was quick and hassle-free! You can also visit the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs, where a friendly Cast Member will be happy to assist so you can get back to enjoying the magic!
Joan, I hope this information is helpful to your vacation planning. Your trip is just around the corner, now you can cross one more thing off your list! If you have any other questions,
please let me know - I'm happy to help.
Enjoy making magical memories,
Candace
