Is there a way to check park reservation availability before purchasing a ticket? I plan to go for one day and only want to do Epcot, but need ot be sure I can actually go before I purchase a ticket.

    Hi Lindsay!

So happy to hear that you have an upcoming trip planned to Walt Disney World. I love that you already have your sights set on EPCOT for your theme park day. Given your travel dates, that means you'll have the chance to experience the Taste of EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival….it’s a BLOOMing good time! The character-inspired topiaries are truly works of art, and the food and beverage offerings are absolutely phenomenal.

Sounds like you are well aware that you need to obtain a park pass using the Disney Park Pass system. These park reservations are limited in number and subject to availability. But here’s the trick: Guests can check the availability calendar to see which parks have Disney Park Pass reservations open. When I checked the availability calendar for EPCOT starting at the end of April and into May, there were still park passes available for EPCOT.

Now that you have confirmation that EPCOT is wide open for that time frame, you have the green light to buy your one-day ticket! I would recommend doing that as soon as possible so you have time to then get the ticket linked in your My Disney Experience account. Once your ticket is showing in My Disney Experience, you can go in and make your park pass reservation. Then you will be able to HARVEST that park pass for your EPCOT day.

If EPCOT somehow is not showing the date(s) that you would like available once you have the ticket linked, no worries! Guests are changing their plans all the time, and the Disney Park Pass system is constantly updated with new openings. From experience, the theme park with the most changes when it comes to being able to grab park passes is Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

If any other questions start to SPROUT up, please stop back by planDisney and PLANT them with us! We will be happy to water them with all the tips and advice we can. Fingers crossed that it all works out for you and you get that magical day at EPCOT
