Hello there, Lorraine and welcome to the planDisney panel! Thank you for cruising our way with your question as you prepare to embark on a voyage with the Disney Cruise Line this summer. My pals and I are so glad that you are here.
Have you downloaded the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app yet? Before you board the ship, you can use the app to make plans and view a fun character-filled countdown to keep track of how many days are left until you set sail! I'm sure you are anxiously awaiting the chance to head off for adventure.
You can use the Navigator app or the
Disney Cruise Line website to check in for your cruise starting 30 days prior to your sailing. The option will become available right at midnight E.S.T. at the 30-day mark. Prior to checking in, you can prepare by gathering the items necessary for check-in. You will need clear photos (I like to scan mine) of your passport as well as security photos. The security photos should be individual pictures taken of you and your sailing crew against a plain background and should only be from the shoulders up. Be sure to remove any eyeglasses or accessories. Have the credit card you would like to use for charges on the ship nearby as you will also be setting up your onboard account information.
After you upload the necessary documents, you will be able to schedule a Port Arrival Time for your embarkation day. Please keep in mind that your documents may show as "pending approval" for a little while as Disney Cruise Line agents need to review
all documents prior to boarding. You will receive an email if anything needs to be uploaded again. I recommend that you check back about a week prior to sailing to make sure that everything is marked as completed and that you are "clear to arrive".
I hope that clears up any questions you have about the check-in process. Please cruise our way again if we can be of any further assistance. It's a pleasure to help our fellow guests create wonderful memories onboard a Disney Cruise!
Have a magical voyage,
Adrianna
