If you check in online, is the credit card authorization taken right away? I know it is $1000 (moderate resort) unless you request another amount. We have never checked in online before so are unsure whether it is secured then or at check in. Thank you.

    Hi Kimberley!

When you place a credit or debit card on your reservation for room charging privileges, Disney will not charge your card for the full amount of your charging limit. They will however "ding" the card to make sure that it is an active account. The charge is only about $1.00. Nothing else will be charged to your card until your check-out day, unless you authorize your charges to be paid prior to check-out. This is true for both on-line check in and check in at the resort desk.

I hope this helps! Enjoy your vacation!
