Hey there, Lauren welcome to
planDisney! We are glad you stopped by, and you have to be getting excited for your visit. Let's get started on your MagicBands right away.
MagicBand+ is a fantastic way to communicate with the park making it easy to get into the park, board attractions, and so much more. Four of the five original MagicBands that I purchased in 2016 worked until 2019. And in 2020 only one worked. In my experience these typically last 2-3 years, but I have heard those Disney legends of them continuing to work beyond the 5 year mark. There isn't a way to check at home if they still work. If you visit
Disney Springs you can check to see if they work before your park visit by trying to purchase something using them in a Disney owned store. If you are not able to check them I would recommend also setting up
Magic Mobile on the
My Disney Experience App, if you have Apple phone or watch and Android devices. This way your park day isn't slowed down by not having another option ready to go. It will also give you time to find a replacement and not have to sacrifice buying whatever is easiest. You can find one that truly expresses your Disney style.
During your visit please check out the 30th year of the
International Flower and Garden Festival. For three decades this park has been dressed up in some of the most creative displays of foliage I have ever seen, and I live in the Garden State! This celebration of everything spring and the earth waking up from its winter slumber always has delicious treats for all of your senses. Not only visually stunning but the
Outdoor Kitchens will help tantalize your nose and taste buds. There are even outdoor gardens where you can bring home a part of the festival.
Scentsy presents Blossoms of Fragrance and here you can collect complimentary seeds and take in the scents.
I hope this information is helpful in preparing for your visit that is just around the river bend. Come back anytime and we can help you with any other questions you might have.
Have a magical day,
Jeremy A.
