After you check out can you leave a car parked at a Disney resort while you go to Disney Springs? Can you still use the Disney Bus system?

Hi Amy, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! From the time you arrive until it's time to say good-bye, let's help you get the most out of all of your Disney days!

My family lives an hour away from the Walt Disney World Resort, and we love to spend long weekends staying at a Resort hotel whenever we can. It's always sad when we have to leave, but we've found that extending our Disney fun after checking out helps make the drive home a little easier.

When you bring a car to a Disney Resort hotel, you'll get a parking pass valid through midnight of your checkout date, even though you had to say good-bye to your room at 11 a.m. That's good news for a couple of reasons. First, as a Resort hotel Guest, you continue to have free parking at any of the Theme Parks for the whole day if you decide to squeeze in a little more Park time before hitting the road. Second, you can absolutely leave your car at the Resort hotel and hop on a Disney bus bound for any of the Parks or Disney Springs, then bus back to pick up the car, so feel free to get in some last-minute dining and shopping at Disney Springs.

And while you're at Disney Springs, stop by Disney's PhotoPass Studio in the Marketplace area. You can choose a fun background and have the PhotoPass photographers snap professional photos to preserve the memory of your last day at Disney. Plus, if you have Memory Maker, your photos will "automagically" appear in your My Disney Experience app!

I hope this helps you enjoy all the magical days of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, Amy. Please come visit us again if you have any more questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
