If check out is at 11am can we still hang out at the resort for the rest of the day?

Hi Kristy! The saddest day of a Walt Disney World vacation is the last day when you must check-out of your resort. The general check-out time is indeed 11:00am and on occasion if it is not a busy time you can request a late check-out which might add an hour or two at the most.

Once the check-out time has arrived your Magic Bands will no longer work to allow you into your room. If you do ask and get a late check-out make sure your bands work before leaving the room with everything in it. We have often had to go back to the front desk to get the extra time added on to the band.

Resort room entrance is the only thing that you will not be able to enjoy for the rest of the day. Store your luggage with the resort bell service and hit the pool or stop for a bite to eat at one of the dining rooms. Many guests have late night flights and they enjoy a day back in the park before returning to their resort to collect their luggage. If you are unlucky with the weather and find it a rainy day consider heading to Disney Springs for a movie, bowling, shopping, or eating. Extend your Disney vacation as long as you can!
