At check in when we give our credit card info, do they run it and put a hold for a certain amount on it? We don't use CC's and the only one we have is our debit card -just want to be prepared if they hold any money.

Hello Christine and thanks for bringing this great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I have a few horror stories of resorts and hotels outside of the Walt Disney World Resort placing exorbitant holds on my debit card. I am THRILLED to tell you that when you check into your Walt Disney World Resort hotel they will NOT place a hold on any funds.

Each Walt Disney World Resort hotel "level" has its own prescribed charging limit that needs to be reached before your credit or debit card is charged. Currently they are as follows: Deluxe, $1,500; Moderate, $1,000; Value, $500.  Once you have reached that limit or the last night of your stay (whichever comes first) your credit/debit card will be charged.  If you prefer that your card not be charged, you can stop by the front desk and pay down your balance at any time.

If you have more questions, come on back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel- we love to help!

    See ya real soon!

I am thrilled to be able to help other Disney guests plan their adventures. Learn More About Anne
