Can you check in early at Fort Wilderness campgrounds?

Hi Kasey! The Fort Wilderness Resort is a hidden secret at Walt Disney World. It is almost like another theme park in itself with so much to do there.

Many guests who come to Fort Wilderness are traveling a long distance in their motor homes. It is difficult to know exactly how long it is going to take on the road so planning is a little harder. This resort understands that and you can certainly check-in early or late.

If you arrive early and your site is not ready they will direct you to what they call the overflow lot. There you can park your vehicle until the site is ready. This resort will work just like any other Disney property. You will do your check-in and then leave your phone number with them  and when things are ready they will leave a text message. That means you can arrive early, check-in, park your vehicle, and head to the parks using the Disney complimentary transportation.
