On our check in day at Art of Animation, we are planning to visit Typhoon Lagoon and then Disney Springs. What would be the best transport methods to those places, in that order and then back to AOA? Thank you.

Hiya, Neil! Welcome back to planDisney!

It looks like your Walt Disney World holiday is just a couple of weeks away. How exciting! I’m sure you're counting down the days, hours, and minutes until you get to enjoy the Vacation Kingdom of the World.

Before we take a look at your transportation options, make sure you have the My Disney Experience app downloaded to your mobile device. The app is great for managing your tickets and making reservations, and it can also provide step-by-step directions and estimated travel times using Walt Disney World transportation to most locations around the resort. It’s something I use almost every day when I’m on vacation.

If you want to use complimentary resort transportation, then your best option for getting from Art of Animation to Typhoon Lagoon will be the bus. There isn’t currently a direct connection between the hotel and water park, so you’ll take the bus from Art of Animation to Disney Springs, and from there you can hop on a bus to Typhoon Lagoon. At the time I’m writing this, the My Disney Experience app estimates this to be a 64-minute journey (estimated times and routes may vary based on the date you’re traveling).

When you’re ready to head back, you’ll take a bus back to Disney Springs, and from there you can catch another bus back to Art of Animation. If you’d like a more direct route, you might consider booking a Minnie Van through Lyft. This isn’t free like the buses, but it’s a great option for saving time traveling between the resort hotels and water parks.

I hope this information is useful to you, Neil. Don’t hesitate to come back to planDisney if you have more vacation planning questions or need recommendations. We’re always happy to help!

    Magical travels!
