Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel can make their
Lightning Lane purchase and selections seven days before their check-in date. Guests staying at other hotels can make their selections three days before their arrival to the theme park.
Amanda, I recommend checking which resort hotel you’ve booked. The seven-day window is available for Guests of all Disney World hotels, the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, the Disney World Swan Reserve, and the Shades of Green Resort. If you’re not staying in one of those resort hotels, then you’d have the three-day window to make your Lightning Lane selections. Some resort hotels might be located just off Disney World property, especially those near Disney Springs.
As a quick tip, most Disney World Resort hotels begin with “Disney’s…” followed by the name of the hotel. For example, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, etc. Check the name of your resort hotel. If the name isn’t preceded by “Disney’s…,” it is most likely a hotel located off Disney property.
