Hi Andrew,
Welcome to planDisney and Welcome Home from a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member! It sounds like you're starting to plan your next
Walt Disney World Resort vacation –– I'm sure you'll enjoy every moment of your stay at
Disney Caribbean Beach Resort!
Disney Vacation Club recently redesigned its
Disney Collection, making it easier than ever for
eligible Disney Vacation Club Members to book a
Disney Resorts Collection exchange using Vacation Points. Here's what you need to do to locate the Points charts for an exchange:
1. Select "Disney Resort Hotels Near & Far" from the "Destinations" tab at the top of the
Disney Vacation Club website.
2. On the next page, click on the "View All Resorts" button to access the full list of Disney Collection Resorts and select your preferred Resort.
3. Click on "View Points Charts & Calculator" to view a calendar that shows the Points required for each date and room type.
Once you're ready, you can check availability and begin the booking process for your Disney Resorts Collection exchange by giving Member Services a call at (800) 800-9800.
Booking a Disney Collection stay is a little different than
booking a Disney Vacation Club Resort, so there are a few things I'd like to share with you. The booking window for Disney Resorts Collection exchanges opens as early as 11 months before check-in, so these Resorts can often be booked earlier than Disney Vacation Club reservations at non-Home Resorts. Each exchange reservation is also charged a non-refundable $95 transaction fee (due at the time of confirmation) and is subject to "The Rule of Four" for most Resorts, which means the reservation must be made before the last four months of your Use Year if the stay occurs during that Use Year. If you have any questions, you can always reach out to a
Member Services Cast Member and they will be happy to walk you through the booking process.
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question, Andrew! I hope your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation is full of pixie-dusted adventures!
See Ya Real Soon,
Amy
