My ChEAR Squad wants to do the 5:15 Aloha dinner show the day before I run the DPHM Will that kind of food be ok for me to be able to run the next morning? We are not getting park tix so we thought the show would be something fun for us on the quick trip

    Welcome back, Tammy!

You ask some really great questions! Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show is a great way to spend your evening the night before your big race. It will allow you to forget any nervousness and anxiety you may be experiencing, especially with it being your first race. And with your ChEAR Squad with you, you are sure to have a great time.

Having experienced this show myself, here is my advice on the food: Keep your salad and fresh fruit portions on the smaller side. These food items contain higher amounts of fiber and you'll want to keep your fiber intake low the day before a race. Enjoy extra soba noodles, but easy on the slaw salad. You can also enjoy the meat platter, but don't over-indulge and stick to meat selections you know will agree with you - now is not the time to try anything new! When that fantastic dessert comes, enjoy it, but only a little!

All in all, this is a fine dining option pre-race, just remember to keep your portions reasonable; this can be a challenge when it's all-you-care-to-eat.

I hope this helps :) Please let me know if you think of anything else you would like me to help you with. It sounds like things are coming together. I also hope you are enjoying your recently purchased runDisney tech shirt.

    Aloha!
