The chEAR squad... Does my family HAVE to have this to see me at the finish line or running through the castle? What level should I get for them? Are there other good viewing locations along the Princess 1/2 course?

    Hi Kimberly!

Your family does not have to purchase a chEAR squad package to see you at either the finish line or inside Magic Kingdom.  Certain packages do offer priority seating areas in those places, but anyone can be there.

If your family plans to travel to the Magic Kingdom to watch you run up Main Street USA (which I highly recommend) and they want to travel back to Epcot to see you finish, then they probably wouldn't have time for any other viewing areas along the route.

Magic Kingdom will be open to all spectators and the monorails will be running back and forth.  The travel time between the two places can take up to an hour, so make sure they allot plenty of time.  You will be running into the Magic Kingdom around mile 5 of your race.  (subject to change)

If you want to buy a chEAR squad package, it really depends on what you are looking for.  The Gold and Platinum packages offer the special seating.  The Platinum offers access to the Race Retreat tent.  The tent is awesome.  It is climate controlled and will have a hot food buffet.  It's a great place for your family to hang out, meet you, and then have a meal while you cool down from your run.  It is a bit expensive though, so if you don't think they would utilize it, then I would skip it.

Keep in mind that you will also need to purchase the "Race Retreat" package if you want to meet them inside the tent when you are finished.  If you purchase Race Retreat, then you will also have access to it before the race begins.  To me, that is the real benefit.  There are food, drinks, bathrooms, and private bag check all in a nice cozy tent. I love to get there early and have my food inside the tent:)

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
