Welcome to planDisney, Rachel!
Thanks for stopping by as you plan your
summertime visit to Walt Disney World Resort! Like Ursula the Sea Witch, I've always been a girl with an eye for a bargain. Let's talk about some of the great special offers and a few money-saving tips to help you get the most magic for your money!
Rachel, as the busy summer travel season comes to an end and children and their families prepare to head back to school, you can often find some great deals in August. I pulled up
theme park ticket pricing and found some of the cheapest prices currently listed during the third week of August. If you have flexibility with your travel dates, I'd suggest starting there and then checking vacation packages for other weeks to see how the savings compare.
As you are planning, be sure to check out all the
special offers available this summer. You may find making a room-only reservation and pairing it with a specially priced ticket is best for your plans. Or, maybe a vacation package that includes
free dining for the kids in your party offers the most savings? You can build a vacation that is practically perfect in every way online or reach out to a Cast Member by
calling Tickets and Hotel Reservations for assistance.
When searching for reservations, I'd recommend checking availability at one of the Value Resorts. These resort hotels are some of my favorites, and, as the name suggests, offer a budget-friendly option for Guests. My oldest son and I were just in Walt Disney World last month and enjoyed a split stay between
Disney's All-Star Sports Resort and
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort. When you stay at any hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection, you'll be able to access
great benefits, such as
complimentary resort transportation and, one of our favorites,
Early Theme Park Entry! We also used the
free water park benefit on both of our check-in days to visit
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park and
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. This amazing perk is currently available through September 8, 2026!
I hope this information has been helpful, Rachel, as you plan your Walt Disney World vacation. While you continue to prepare for your August visit, you may also want
