When is the cheapest time to book a value resort, park passes and dining plan for Canadian residents for November 2020? Also, do you know approximately when Christmas would be up and if waterparks stay open all of November (cold weather or refurbishments)

    Hello Chantal,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question, my fellow Canadian!

If I understand your question correctly, you’re wondering when you should book your November 2020 visit to Walt Disney World Resort. The answer depends on when you plan to visit. If you want to visit during the week of American Thanksgiving (which will be celebrated on November 26th this year), then you’ll need to book sooner rather than later as it’s a very busy and popular time of year to visit.

Here’s what I would recommend you do: if your dates are set in stone, you should book them now, and avoid, if possible the week of Thanksgiving. If a Special Offer for Canadian residents (or one that is available to everyone) is released later this year for dates in November, then you can see whether it can be applied to your vacation dates. Keep checking that link, especially during the summer months, for more information.

Based on my experience, the Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort typically start the moment that Halloween ends, with decorations going up in the Theme Parks during the first few days of November, and decorations at the various Disney Resort Hotels in the following weeks.

Finally, during the colder months (including November), often one of the two Walt Disney World Resort Water Parks is closed for refurbishment. We don’t have the schedule quite yet, so I can’t confirm whether Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park (or neither) will be closed this November, but there’s a good chance that one may be. You can’t go wrong with either choice, however; I believe that the Water Parks are the hidden gems of any Disney Parks vacation.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
