Hiya, Lori! Welcome ot planDisney!
Thanks for sharing your question. There are so many ways to customize your Walt Disney World experience to make it fit your group’s interests and budget parameters. Let’s take a look at some of the available resources and get you on your way to planning your next vacation.
The cost of vacation packages (hotel room + tickets) fluctuates throughout the year, sometimes week to week or even day to day. In my experience, the best way to plan a budget-friendly Walt Disney World vacation is to browse the
Special Offers page and try to align your travel plans with one of the special seasonal deals. There are usually discounts on hotel rooms, tickets, and right now, there is even an offer for a
free dining plan in 2026 (terms and conditions apply, terms are subject ot change). This page is updated frequently, so be sure to check back regularly if none of the current offers work for you.
As you look over the various deals, one of the other things to consider is which category of
Disney Resorts Collection hotel best fits your needs. There are three main categories of hotels at Walt Disney World: value, moderate, and resort. As the category names imply, deluxe hotels will be your most expensive option, moderate hotels will be in the middle, and value resorts will be the least expensive.
The
value resort hotels include Pop Century Resort, Art of Animation Resort, All-Star Music Resort, All-Star Sports Resort, and All-Star Movies Resort, and they are all great choices, especially when you have kiddos in your group. The decor is big, bright, and fun, and there are multiple pools to enjoy, as well as a lot of kid-friendly options in the food courts.
I hope this information helps get you started with your vacation planning, Lori. Don’t hesitate to come back to planDisney if you have additional questions, but I’d also suggest calling the
Tickets and Hotel Reservations line to talk with a Cast Member if you need assistance booking your vacation package.
Magical travels!
