What is the cheapest way to get from Pop Century/WDW to cruise line and back? What is the cheapest way to get a dolphin encounter at Nassau for cruise line (website for excursion company)?

The least expensive method to get from the Pop Century Resort to Port Canaveral for a Disney cruise will depend on how many people are traveling in your party.

The current rate for port transfers via the Disney Cruise Line is $35 one-way and $69 round-trip per person.

For groups over 4 people, often there are more economical options. Some guests rent a car one-way and others book a town car service.  Renting from Budget between Port Canaveral and the airport seems to be the most convenient. Sometimes a one-way rate can be found for $45 or even less when using a coupon code. Budget offers a free shuttle from their office to the port. Just remember that you'll need to factor in some extra time to get the car and drop it off. If you'll be traveling from the WDW resort, we find picking up a National car rental at the Dolphin hotel to be very convenient.

You might want to visit Happy Limo at happylimo.com to price out a passenger van. Currently a one-way trip to Port Canaveral costs $115 for up to 10 passengers and $230 round-trip. FL Tours at fltours.com offers a round-trip for $220. Factor in taxes and gratuities.

Booking a dolphin encounter on your own is the least expensive way to enjoy these amazing mammals, although the most convenient option is reserving through the Disney Cruise Line. Try to book independent excursions earlier in the day since the ship will not wait for guests on independent tours. See dolphinencounters.com for booking information. Current rates are $98 per person to Blue Lagoon which includes transportation. DCL rates are found here. When comparing rates, remember that encounters will be less expensive than swims. Note also refund policies!
