    Are there cheaper ways to afford disney than the prices they quote you? For example what about that book that is for sale for disney deals written by a past Disney employee?

    Absolutely. In fact, I never pay "rack rate" which is the full price on hotel rooms. Even a discount using your AAA membership will save you some money off of the nightly rates.

    I always book the components of my trip separately rather than purchasing a package. Usually when I price things out individually and compare to the comparable package, the price is less expensive to get my tickets, room and food separately.

    For discounts, I always watch mousesavers.com. Note that the best way to save money is traveling in the off-season rather than during a holiday or summer season.

    Also, you should always call back and see if any discounts have been released for your travel dates, even after you've made your initial reservation.

    I have found that information on discounts is most current at internet sites such as mousesavers.
