What are some of the cheaper restaurants at the park? We will be skipping HS and possibly Epcot, focusing on MK and AK and water parks. We have 2 adults and a baby, so the characters and atmosphere aren't very important to us- we'd like to cut $ with food!

Hi Jessica! Some of my favorite restaurants in the parks are not the table service ones but instead unique quick service spots.

In the Magic Kingdom my family must stop at Casey's on Main Street for a great hotdog or mini corndogs. The only issue here is the seating so send someone to scout out a table while the other orders the food. There are tables down by the water across the street but you also have to deal with the occasional smoker in this location. Don't feed the cute birds too as once you do they won't leave you alone and any finger or hand that drops down off the table is fair game to them....I learned from first hand experience when one thought  my finger was a hotdog!

Another top spot for us is the Columbia Harbour House located across from the Haunted Mansion. The food is good and the seating is quiet and comfortable. Make sure you head upstairs for the best spots to dine.

My other two Magic Kingdom choices would be Pinocchio Village Haus in Fantasyland and Pecos Bill Cafe in Frontierland.

At the Animal Kingdom we never go without eating at the great Flametree Barbecue.  It is a quick service stop and they offer great choices for adults and kids.  Take the food and meander down the pathway on the left side until you find a spot that is quiet and cool. There are many tables and locations along the way with our favorite being the covered pavilion on the lake. You will likely have feathered friends joining you here as well and the kids love the entertainment during lunch watching the birds vie for droppings off the tables.

Two secondary choices at this park would be Pizzafari or Restaurantosaurus.
Always check out some of the snack stops as they often offer some great healthy fruit as well as the standard popcorn and ice cream treats.
