Hello, Debra! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question!
One of the first things I do when planning a Disneyland Resort vacation is estimate costs. Once I have a general idea of when we want to visit, I will create different scenarios based on different length of stays, traveling on different days of the week, and whether to purchase a package or to pay for things separately. In general, the prices should be about the same when booking a
vacation package versus buying tickets separately from your accommodations. However, booking a vacation package definitely has some benefits. The most important benefit is that you can make payments toward your vacation package. A payment of $200 is due at the time of booking and then you can make payments in any amount and any frequency you wish as long as your package is paid in-full 30 days before your arrival date.
Additionally, you will receive a Magical Extras Savings Card with your package which provides 10 percent off at certain restaurants or shops in the
Downtown Disney District. If you’ll be arriving in 2018, Guests in your party age 3 and older will also receive an exclusive pin, lanyard, and luggage tag with the vacation package. For 2019 arrivals, all Guests age 3 and older will receive a pin, lanyard, souvenir button, and a discount of $5 off per person for bowling at
Splitsville Luxury Lanes!
So definitely research your options to see what might work best for you and your budget. I am certain you will find the perfect way to book your vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth!
