Hi there, Michele!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I’m so glad that you stopped by with a question for us. We are always happy to help! I’m sure you are looking forward to your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and I know you will have an amazing time. The holidays are an extra magical time to visit with all of the beautiful decorations that you’ll see throughout the parks and resorts!
Disney Resort Hotel prices will definitely change a little bit depending on the time of year that you are looking to visit. Prices during the holidays, such as Thanksgiving week, are going to be higher than during the off-peak times such as January or February. Also, you’ll typically see that prices are a little higher during the weekends as compared to weekdays, but it’s certainly not a big difference. Plus you’ll usually get a better price overall if you plan to stay a little longer. I always recommend checking out the
special offers to see if you can save a little money when you’re planning to visit. You might even find an offer that you can’t pass up and change your dates based on that offer!
If you’re looking to visit when it’s not so crowded, just think about school schedules across the country. The parks will always be busier at times when schools are not in session. So Thanksgiving break and Christmas break when schools are out will definitely be pretty busy. Since some schools are not out for the full week of Thanksgiving, you’ll see that the crowds gradually increase each day leading up to the holiday as more and more schools get out. If you’re planning to visit that week, my best advice is to arrive as soon as you can before Thanksgiving since several days before will be much less crowded. Arrive at the parks as early as possible to beat the crowds and enjoy more attractions with shorter wait times. Then plan to take a break in the afternoon during the busiest part of the day. It’s never a bad idea to relax and recharge midday!
I hope this helps with your planning and please feel free to let us know if you have any other questions. Wishing you a magical and memorable vacation!
