Hello Asia, welcome to planDisney! A vacation at the
Walt Disney World Resort is an extremely fun way to make memories that will last a lifetime, but it can also be expensive! I am always on the search for a good deal or savings, either through the
Special Offers, Deals & Discounts page or by using my Disney Visa Credit Card by Chase for discounts and Disney Rewards Dollars!
There is a difference between the
Disney Visa Debit Card with a Chase checking account and the
Disney Visa Credit Card from Chase. They share similar benefits but only one earns the Disney Reward Dollars that I mentioned above.
As a Disney Visa Debit Card cardmember you will receive 10% off select merchandise at select locations, 10% off select dining locations most days, 15% off select guided tours, 10 – 20% off select purchases at select locations, and Disney Character Experiences with complimentary downloads of your photos.
As a Disney Visa Credit Card cardmember, you will receive the same benefits as the Disney Visa Debit Card, but you will also earn Disney Rewards Dollars. The Disney Visa Credit Card has two different options, the
Disney Premier Visa Card and the
Disney Visa Card, both of which come with new Disney Visa Cardmember offers that will change throughout the year. The main difference between the two credit cards is that Premier cardmembers will earn 2% on purchases at gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, and most Disney locations in the U.S, and 1% on all other card purchases, whereas, a Disney Visa Credit Card cardmember will earn 1% on all purchases. Either way, you will be earning
Disney Rewards Dollars. You should link your Disney account with your Disney Visa Card account to be able to manage your Disney Rewards Dollars, including checking your balance, requesting a redemption card, and more!
Asia, I hope this helps differentiate the debit and credit cards for you. If you have any other questions about your debit card and its benefits, I suggest
contacting Disney Debit. I don’t think you can go wrong with either type of card, personally, as you will be the beneficiary of savings at Disney, but as a Disney Visa Credit Card member myself, I do like earning the Disney Rewards Dollars to use while enjoying our vacation!
Cheers,
Brent
