Howdy fellow Texan, Jeanne!
I’m so glad you stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!
Planning a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is absolutely magical! Get ready to snack on all the Mickey shaped treats and let your inner child shine through as you see your favorite fairytales come to life!
Renting your Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) from the
Theme Parks is such a convenient way to enjoy your time there. I’ve been told during the rental process, you’re fully informed all about the ECV, and you can always ask the specific locations of charging stations there. I also called and spoke with a Cast Member at
Services for Guests with Disabilities and was informed there are charging stations throughout the Parks. The Cast Member mentioned restaurants are a great place to charge your ECV; while you are relaxing inside the restaurant, you can leave your ECV to charge outside. The charging station is at the designated area of parking.
I also checked the
Attraction Access Categories for Guests with Mobility Disabilities. This guide will tell you the attractions that offer Guests with mobility disabilities specific accommodations such as,
“Must transfer from wheelchair/ECV to ride vehicle”
“Must transfer from ECV to wheelchair”
“Must transfer from ECV to wheelchair, and from wheelchair to ride vehicle."
I also want to include Guides for Guests with Disabilities for
Magic Kingdom Park,
Epcot,
Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and
Disney’s Animal Kingdom park. Each guide has a section dedicated to Mobility Disabilities that you may find helpful!
Jeanne, I hope you have the most magical time at The Most Magical Place on Earth!
