When charging magic band + does it need to show green through band and Mickey in the center

Hello there, Kathy! Welcome to planDisney where we can't wait to help you get the answers to your planning questions.

I am thrilled to hear that you already have a MagicBand+ for your visit to Disneyland Resort. I love the added convenience it brings as you go about your day in the parks. When you are charging your MagicBand+, it will flash red if there is no battery. It will flash yellow when charging indicates a low battery. You will see a green flashing when it has a high battery. You can also see the battery level of your MagicBand+ by tapping on the MagicBand+ category in the Disneyland app after tapping the three horizontal lines at the bottom right of the app's home screen. Next tap on the MagicBand+ you are charging and this will take you to the management page for that MagicBand+. If the device is connected you will be able to see the battery level listed.

While I have never had my MagicBand+ run out of battery while I was in the parks, I do always recommend that your park necessities include a portable charger. Just add your MagicBand+ charger along with your phone charging cord just in case. You want to make sure there is plenty of battery left for the Disney100 Celebration nighttime spectaculars!

Kathy, thanks so much for stopping by! See you real soon!
