Hey there, Robin! Your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth is just around the riverbend. You must be getting so excited! I already have "I'm walking right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A." playing in my head, and it's not even my trip. Let's get you ready to go!
When you check into your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you will be asked for a form of payment for incidentals. The resort will put a $100 hold on the card. On my credit card account, it appears as a "pending transaction" and disappears a few days after checkout. If you are like me and love using a
MagicBand+ for everything and do not touch a credit card or anything that reminds you of the world outside Disney's doors, purchases will be added to your hotel account.
You can see the amounts charged to your room throughout your stay on the
My Disney Experience app. You can just look under the resort information that
automagically appears on the app on your check-in day.
When you check out of the resort, any balance on your account will be charged to the credit card on file. If you would like to use a different form of payment, like a
Disney Gift Card or other credit card, you can stop by Guest Services at your resort. I do this at least the day before I leave, as sometimes they run the charges at 2 a.m. on checkout day.
One thing to add to your to-do list: an update to the My Disney Experience app hit my phone today. You might want to run this update before you arrive if you have not yet. It only takes a minute, but it's one less thing to worry about before you immerse in the magic and let it go!
I hope your trip is sprinkled with Pixie Dust! If you have any other questions as you get ready to leave today and enter the worlds of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy, please come see us again at
planDisney.
As the University of Central Florida Knights would say, "Charge On!"
