I charged my new magic band + overnight and it flashes red when I turn it on.

Hi Sherry! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for sending this question our way.

My MagicBand+ is my favorite accessory to wear when visiting Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park! It sounds like your MagicBand+ isn't quite ready to use, even though you charged it. When a MagicBand+ is flashing red, this indicates no battery. I recommend trying to charge it again, and if you have another MagicBand+ charger, you could also try that. If it still flashes red after trying to charge it again, it's possible it is defective. I had this happen with a MagicBand+, and I was able to exchange it at the Emporium for a new one.

If you're able to charge your MagicBand+, be sure to download the Disneyland Mobile App and set up your MagicBand+ before you arrive. This will help ensure that you're all set to use it. You can also use the Disneyland Mobile App to view dining options, attraction wait times, and the entertainment schedule, just to name a few things.

I'm wishing you a magical visit at The Happiest Place on Earth! When you're ready to plan another Disney Parks vacation, please stop by planDisney again. We would love to help you!

    See ya real soon!
