We charged our magic band plus bands. Mine is a solid green around center, my husband’s is not flashing, but only green on a quarter of the circle. Will this be an issue when attempting to use this week (new bands). Thanks

Greetings, Hope, and welcome to planDisney! You'll be arriving at Walt Disney World Resort soon, and I'm happy to hear you have your MagicBand+ ready to go. Let's discuss what the color signals on your band might mean and how they impact its performance.

It sounds like your band is fully charged since the green ring around the center is the battery indicator. Your band should interact with the golden character statues around the theme parks, and you might have some exciting surprises during entertainment events.

Since your husband's MagicBand+ is only green in a partial circle, his band probably needs to be fully charged. But never fear! Even if his band has zero charge, it will still function as his theme park admission and Disney Resort Hotel room key. His band might not have the haptics and fun light-up features it would when fully charged, and it might not link to photos automatically, but it will still be able to perform essential functions.

I've found the charging cradle can be tricky for these bands, so be sure you listen for the click to know it's seated correctly. And mine often takes a few hours to reach a full charge, so his band probably needs a little more time to cook!

If your band flashes red, the battery is depleted, and a blue light means it's in pairing mode. You can explore all your band's features on the website, and although the interactions are fun, I mainly use mine for accessing the theme parks, Lightning Lane entry, and my resort hotel room.

If you have any other questions during your visit, feel free to call tech support on the My Disney Experience line. They can help you troubleshoot, but here's my hot tip: Turning my band off and on has solved most of my problems! Do this by pressing the button on the back once.

Hope, I know your visit this week will be magical. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
