Are you charged gratuitys for the child in your state room. Or just adults

    Hi Melvyn!

Thanks for venturing into the Wonderland we call Disney Cruise Line. Ready for some Disney Magic at Sea? Yes, there should be plenty of MAGIC...as the name of your itinerary, the name of the ship, and the activities and entertainment onboard all suggest!

Disney Cruise Line has a Gratuities Guide online that gives an idea of the suggested gratuities for your servers and stateroom host. When I checked this page, it says gratuities are paid “per Guest”...and children are Guests just as much as adults. So I would say it is expected that you tip on all Guests in your travel party. Granted, for what the Cast Members do to entertain our kids, I think they deserve all the accolades and rewards we can possibly give them!

To save you the hassle factor, you can arrange to have the gratuities prepaid before your cruise. Disney Cruise Line asks that you request this at least three days prior to your sail date (or make arrangements while onboard with Guest Services).

If you are “curiouser and curiouser’’ about elements of your voyage, you can always hop back over for more tips here at planDisney! Melvyn, we hope that you will be grinning like the Cheshire Cat with pure joy during your upcoming cruise with Captain Mickey!

    Happy Sailing!
