how do you charge things in the resort without a magic band

Welcome to planDisney, Sandy! Thanks so much for coming to us with your question today. Charging purchases to your Disney Resort Hotel room is super convenient, and the good news is that you don't need a MagicBand to do it!

While MagicBands are definitely a popular option, they're not the only way to charge purchases to your room. You can also use your Key to the World Card, which is your resort room key. When you pick it up at the front desk, just let a Cast Member know that you'd like to set it up for charging privileges. They'll link your credit card to your room account and help you assign a PIN for secure purchases.

Even better, you can take care of this step ahead of time through the online check-in process in the My Disney Experience app. Just select the option to allow charging to your room, add your payment method, and create a PIN. That way, when you arrive, the only thing you need to do is request a Key to the World Card at the front desk, and you're good to go!

Once it's set up, you can use your Key to the World Card throughout the parks and resorts just like you would use a MagicBand. Tap to pay, and your purchases will be conveniently charged to your room folio. It's a great alternative if you're not planning to use a MagicBand during your stay.

I hope this answers your question, Sandy, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
