I am in charge of planning my groups genie+ reservations. We are 2 separate families planning together. My family is showing up under “we’re planning together” and the other family is showing up under “my other friends and family”. Is that how it should be

Hi Timothy! Thanks for reaching out to planDisney.

So, I must let you know that I am always the Timothy of the group. I manage most of the plans and make the reservations. It's a tough job, Timothy, but someone has to do it! I'm kidding, it's actually a lot of fun and I'm sure your group is in great hands! In fact, I know they are because you are here asking all of the important questions!

Let me first start out by saying that it seems like you are on the right track. It sounds like you have added all of the necessary Guests to your account and they have accepted your invitation. If you do not currently have plans with them, they will not yet show up under "People I Have Plans With." For example, unless you have a current reservation with them (like a dining reservation in which you have selected them as a member of your dining party), they will not show up under this category. Until you have done so, they will remain under "People I Do Not Have Plans With."

When you go to make Lightning Lane reservations through either Genie+ or Individual Lightning Lanes, as long as everyone has a valid theme park ticket and Theme Park Reservation for that day, you will be able to select them as part of the reservation when the time comes!

To be on the safe side, I always recommend that people go into the My Family and Friends List page of their My Disney Experience account to ensure that they are sharing all of their plans. To do this, find the Guest's name, click update, and ensure "All My Plans" is selected. Have all other parties do the same. Don't worry, this can be changed at any time. While this isn't strictly necessary for your purposes, as the resident planner, I find it helpful to see everything. For example, if you are looking to make a Lightning Lane reservation, it's good to know what the rest of the party is doing at that time so that you select the right people. If you forgot the other family was going to go to dinner on their own one night, you may go to make a Lightning Lane reservation for the entire group because you can't see that they have a separate dining reservation. That's a wasted Lightning Lane for them! But if you see all, you know all!

Timothy, I hope I've helped put your mind at ease. It's going to be a great vacation! Be sure to check out the brand-new rollercoaster at Magic Kingdom Park, Tron / Lightcyle Run (opening April 4, 2023). There's also the wonderful EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival too! And the return of two fan-favorite nighttime spectaculars: Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT Forever at EPCOT! Wait a minute, do you have room in your suitcase for me? I might need to tag along!

Feel free to reach out again in the future should have any questions.

A little consideration, a little thought for others, makes all the difference,
    Matt
