Can I charge, pair and update my magic bands in another state, prior to traveling to Disney?

Welcome to planDisney, Theresa! The countdown is on for your trip to Walt Disney World Resort this week, so it's a great time to check all those last-minute things off your to-do list.

Setting up all of your tech before you leave is a great idea! You can definitely charge, pair, and update your MagicBand+ before you even arrive in Florida. It's really simple to do, and the My Disney Experience app will guide you through the whole process. If you set up your MagicBand+ before your trip, you won't have to fiddle with it when you arrive and you can let the magic begin right away! You'll be able to customize your settings, including motion recognition sensitivity, vibration, and the color of your band light. You can change any of these settings at any time, so if you want something different when you arrive for your trip, that's totally up to you!

Since you've got your MagicBand+ all set up and ready to go, make sure to check out Batuu Bounty Hunters! You can seek out virtual bounties around Black Spire Outpost in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios. You'll be assigned a bounty and the vibration of your MagicBand+ will guide you on the path to finding what you're looking for. Make sure to download the Play Disney Parks app so you can join in on the fun!

    Have a magical day, Theresa!

I'm a personal stylist and I live in Texas with my husband and our three rescue animals. We are Disney Parks-obsessed and love enjoying all the magic that's out there especially for grown-ups. In fact, we even opted out of a tropical honeymoon to spend a blissful week at Walt Disney World Resort instead! I'm thrilled to be on the planDisney Panel and I'm excited to share everything I've learned from all of our trips and help you plan a memorable family vacation.  Learn More About Jessica
