Can you charge your meals to your room at a resort hotel?

    Hello again, Patricia!

Thank you so much for sending this Disneyland Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR at planDisney!

Ooooh, you sound like you're a Mouseketeer after my own heart, one who is all about the credit card point game. I like to also charge as many things as I can to my hotels, no matter where I travel, to have the purchases count at hotel spending vs. dining. At this time, only items like room service and perhaps pool snacks can be charged to your hotel folio. I'm hoping that once Disneyland Resort introduces MagicBand+ later this yEAR, all dining locations and shops, property-wide, will be connected to the same charging system that can go to the credit card on file at your Disneyland Resort Hotel, which is what Walt Disney World Resort does in Florida.

Did you know that the Disney Visa Rewards card comes with all kinds of cool perks, like discounts on Disney Parks *merchandise and dining? Not only can your Visa card be your primary card on file in your Disneyland Mobile App, you can also use the rewards certificates right in the app for purchases too, including for Mobile Food & Beverage Orders as well as the brand new Merchandise Mobile Checkout! And actually, hEAR's a great link with step-by-step instructions on how to Merchandise Mobile Checkout.

Thank you again so much for asking this question to us, Patricia. Be sure to keep up with the Disney Parks Blog as they're the best source of the newest news straight from Mickey himself. And find our official planDisney Instagram account as well as our brand new planDisney Podcast for even more tips and tricks!
