How do I charge my magic band

    Hey there, Diana!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney. I'd love to help you gear up for your vacation that starts this week--how exciting! Now, in order to have your best Disney days, you'll need that handy, dandy MagicBand+ (or MagicBand). Let's jump right into it!

Diana, you can use a MagicBand+ or MagicBand in so many ways during your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. With it, you can enter the theme parks (with valid tickets and theme park reservations), scan in for the Lightning Lane, and capture your PhotoPass Service photographs.

If you have the MagicBand,  you do not need to charge it at all, so no need to plug it in. Its battery will last up to two years. My own still work actually, and I've had them for much longer than that timeframe.

However, if you have a newer MagicBand+, you do indeed need to charge it via the charging cable that it was packaged with. (The USB charging cable is black with a flat end to hook your band into.) Charge it every 1-2 days while you're visiting the theme parks. It comes with the same perks as the MagicBand, but it does so much more. It can interact with your surroundings at the parks, has light-up displays and haptics, and comes in a variety of fun designs.

Diana, if you have any other questions about your upcoming vacation, please revisit me or my friends here at planDisney. Have the BEST time this week!

    Magic always,
