How much do they charge your card if you don’t make it to your dinner reservations?

Hiya there, Cristal! Welcome to planDisney!

You have hit my favorite topic, dining at the Walt Disney World Resort! There is nothing I love more than trying out as many restaurants as possible. You never know when you'll be opened up to a "whole new world" of dining possibilities! If you haven't yet, I'd recommend trying out Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera and La Hacienda de San Angel, two of my favorite table service restaurants in all of Walt Disney World.

Cristal, it sounds like you're ahead of the game here and already made advance dining reservations. Great job! It is not uncommon for plans to change during your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth, so Hakuna Matata! As long as you change your plans far enough in advance, you will not be charged the no-show fee. The fee is currently $10 per person for missing your reservation, though prices are subject to change at any time.

If I'm lost in the magic of the day and realize I'm not going to make it to my dining reservation, I use the My Disney Experience App to cancel or modify my reservation. When you open the app, click the menu button in the bottom right corner, then select "My Genie Day" to find all of your reservations and plans for the day. Click on the dining reservation you need to change, then click "Cancel" or "Modify" depending on the route you want to go. If you think you can make it over to the restaurant a little later, go ahead and click "Modify" and search for available times. If nothing suits your needs, you can hit "Cancel" to remove the reservation completely. If you don't see the cancel button available, it is likely because it is too close to your reservation to cancel without penalty, so I'd recommend coming up with a plan at least two hours before your reserved dining time.

I hope this helps answer your question today, Cristal! I live by the "better safe than sorry" rule, so if you're really questioning if you can make you, you may want to utilize the Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering option, where you can place your order for nearby restaurants using the My Disney Experience App, cutting down on wait time and simplifying the ordering process altogether!

    Have a magical day,
