How do you charge the buzz light year limited edition magic band. It did not come with a usb charger like the + did?

    Hello Amber!

It sounds like you are well on your way to planning your next Walt Disney World vacation! I love MagicBands, and I have over 50 of them! I also have two MagicBand+ and have used both in Walt Disney World. It is fantastic that you purchased a Buzz Lightyear limited edition MagicBand.

A Buzz Lightyear limited edition MagicBand is a MagicBand 2, which has a battery that is not rechargeable like the MagicBand+ models. The battery inside a MagicBand 2 is designed to last for over two years. I have MagicBand 2 bands that have lasted way more than two years. The new MagicBand+ is rechargeable, with the USB charging cable included with each MagicBand+. Another way you can distinguish between a MagicBand 2 and a MagicBand+ would be that a MagicBand+ lights up when you press the power button on the back of the MagicBand+. A MagicBand 2 does not have a power button on the back. If you navigate to the shopDisney webpage and search for MagicBands, you can see the difference between the types of MagicBands.

I hope that your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation is incredible!
