Hi Anne! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question!
Getting a chance to meet your favorite characters is one of the highlights of a
Walt Disney World vacation. Being a father to two young daughters, it's a joy to see the look on their faces as they meet the princesses that they have admired over the years. My now seven-year-old was Princess Jasmine's biggest fan for quite some time. The day she finally got the chance to meet her, she wore her prettiest princess gown and had the biggest smile on her face. It was one of the moments that will stick out to me forever.
Although autograph signings have not returned to Walt Disney World, several modified character meet and greets have started to show back up. In the
Magic Kingdom Park,
Princess Tiana and Cinderella are both meeting at Princess Fairytale Hall. The meet and greets are similar to the way they used to be set up, but now you need to keep a safe distance between yourself and the character. You are still able to chat with them and take pictures, with the character standing behind you a few feet away. If you are lucky, you can find Cinderella's stepsisters somewhere near the Carousel, behind
Cinderella Castle. They are a ton of fun to interact with and are hilarious. My daughters talked about them more than anything from our recent trip.
Each of the other three parks has also seen a return of character sightings. Some you can find advertised on your
My Disney Experience App and others you can happily stumble across. Mary Poppins and Alice in Wonderland both make appearances at the UK Pavilion in
EPCOT. They usually stand out in a courtyard and you can get some beautiful pictures outside with them in the background.
Olaf is hanging out in Disney's Hollywood Studios and can be found at Celebrity Spotlight. Unfortunately, he is not giving out his famous warm hugs at this time, but his hangout spot is pretty sweet and makes for some special photos!
Anne, as my daughters say, you are only "a few more sleeps" away from your upcoming stay! I hope it is a magical trip!
See ya real soon!
