Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Jolee. I'm so glad you stopped by with this great question! It's my pleasure to help you plan your upcoming visit to
Magic Kingdom Park.
As part of Disney's phased reopening, traditional Character meet-and-greets are currently unavailable. I was a bit worried this change may put a damper on our Walt Disney World Resort vacation a few weeks ago, but I'm happy to say it didn't! While we didn't experience the interactions we have had in the past, we had the chance to see and engage with all our favorite Disney Characters at all four theme parks, but especially so at Magic Kingdom Park. I always get a bit teary-eyed when I see Cinderella Castle on the first day of our Disney vacations, but on this most recent visit, I got teary-eyed much sooner! When my family arrived at Magic Kingdom Park, we were greeted right away by Mickey Mouse and his pals from atop the Main Street, U.S.A. Train Station. I hadn't even gotten a glimpse of Cinderella Castle quite yet, but seeing our favorite Disney Character right away got me a bit emotional. It felt magical and "normal" and altogether perfect - it was a wonderful way to begin our day.
That certainly wasn't the only instance we got to see and wave to Characters! Throughout the day, we had the chance to see mini, impromptu parades down the parade route including the
Magic Kingdom Cavalcade and The Royal Princess Processional. My little princess was positively beaming when she waved to her favorite princess pals like Belle, Tiana, Ariel, and Jasmine, to name a few. She was wearing her Cinderella gown, and the princesses greeted her with the sweetest things like, "Why hello, princess!" Oh, that precious memory is forever etched on my heart! I'm so happy I caught it all on video.
While you're visiting Magic Kingdom Park, be sure to catch a performance of
Happily Ever After. This nighttime spectacular is not to be missed!
I hope this was helpful, Jolee. I'm wishing you a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
