Is there characters in the park to meet and take pictures with during COVID-19 and one more question. Can you bring your own food in the parks.

    Howdy Nicolette!

Welcome to planDisney!  We are so happy you stopped by to sharing your questions with us!  You will be at the place “Where Dreams Come True” in just a couple of days!  There is lots of excitement throughout the Walt Disney World Resort, so let’s get into your questions!

Things do look a bit different at the Walt Disney World Resort at this time.  Currently, you are unable to walk up to Mickey and his pals to capture a photo hugging your favorite Disney characters, but there are lots of added experiences that are new at this time!  We recently visited the Walt Disney World Resort and enjoyed more character experiences than ever before!  You will find Mickey and his pals around every corner!  Keep your eyes wide open and look high and low!  The Walt Disney World Resort has character experiences everywhere!  The cavalcades and processionals are the best!  We felt as if a mini-parade was “Just Around the Riverbend” on our last vacation!  Each Walt Disney World theme park offers its own entertainment to replace parades, and character meets and greets, but I really hope most of the new entertainment continues!  My family and I felt as if we had more character interactions than ever before, we felt like characters interacted in a more personal way, and their personalities shine!  I know you will enjoy all the entertainment that awaits you in just a few days!  Make sure you have your camera ready because you never know who might photobomb your selfie!

When you are visiting EPCOT, keep a look at for Winnie the Pooh catching butterflies!  When you get a “Rumbly in your Tumbly” like our favorite bear, you can enjoy a snack, quick-service, or food that you may have brought with you into the theme parks.  I always bring snacks with me because I never know when I might need a little something.  If you decide to carry your lunch into the theme parks, then Hakuna Matata, No Worries!  All guests are welcome to bring food and drinks into the parks as long as you do not bring glass or alcoholic beverages.  If you decide to carry your lunch with you, I would recommend renting a locker at the theme park entrance.  By doing this, you will be able to enjoy the parks without toting the extra weight and go back to your locker at your leisure to enjoy your meal!

You are just days away until you are at the Walt Disney World Resort “Making Unforgettable Memories to Last a Lifetime!”  To stay informed of everything to do and see on your vacation, check the Disney Parks Blog!  If you have any more questions while you are packing or while you are at the Walt Disney World Resort, please come back to planDisney, Nicolette!  We are always here to help you with your questions to make your next visit to the Walt Disney World Resort unforgettable!  When you see Mickey and his pals, please wave hi from all of us at planDisney!

    See Ya Real Soon,
    Tamela
