Hi Lucinda,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I was a lucky, lucky ghoul last year – I got to attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
twice. Twice the candy, twice the fireworks, twice the amazing Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade, and twice the magical memories with my friends and family!
Lucinda, we are still waiting to see the official guide to the 2019
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, but I am certain that there will be lots and lots of characters in Magic Kingdom Park for the party. My family and I couldn’t believe how many villains, rare characters, and characters in costume we saw throughout the party – it was such fun to spot them! Be sure to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog as we countdown to the first party on August 16, as more details are sure to come.
Last year, some of the very special characters that met Guests at the party were: Jack Skellington and Sally, Moana, the Seven Dwarfs, Jafar, Tarzan, and the Queen of Hearts. Friends from Winnie the Pooh also appeared in the CUTEST costumes! We don’t have the full RSVP list yet, but if you search online for characters who’ve attended previous parties, you’ll get a sense of who's on Mickey's invitation list, though we can’t guarantee they’ll be available this year. I also recommend watching your favorite social media feeds on the party’s first night, as there will surely be lots of photos posted of characters, treats, and other details. Part of the fun is seeing the characters in costume - Disney calls it "haunt couture," which I just love. While not all characters meet, and some aren't able to sign autographs, you still might be able to get your groove on at a dance party or see them on a float or stage.
New to 2019’s party is
Cruella’s Halloween Hide-A-Way. If you purchase tickets to this dessert party, you’ll meet Cruella de Vil while mingling with other Guests and enjoying a buffet of sweet and savory treats before heading to a reserved viewing area for Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade.
Lucinda, there are so many thrilling treats at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and I recommend making a plan to make sure you can squeeze all your must-dos in to your frightfully fun evening. Note that some popular characters, like Jack and Sally, can have long waits, so you'll want to work that into your plans if it's a priority (and bring some candy to munch in the queue). I absolutely loved the
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, and collected so many screams while dancing with the Monsters Inc. characters at the
Monstrous Scream-O-Ween Ball – and the parade and fireworks are also can’t-miss moments!
Wishing you a spook-tacular time,
Robyn
