Are the characters on the Halloween Disneyland Run Disney sign-up pages indicative of characters on medals and run merchandise?

Hi there, Jonathan! Thank you for running over to planDisney with your question. We appreciate you being here!

While there are many other races out there, there is nothing quite like runDisney races. What's better than running through Disney theme parks, seeing some rare Disney characters, and getting the perfect castle picture all while you "go the distance" like Hercules?

Like you, I am super excited about the recently announced runDisney Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon weekend. And, I have great news - the characters shown on the runDisney website are the character themes for the individual races. They are the characters that you'll see on the race medals and race weekend shirts for those specific distances!

If you're not already, I recommend following the runDisney Instagram and the official runDisney Facebook page. They often do medal reveals as the race weekend gets closer, and it's a great way to keep the excitement going all the way to race day and beyond.

Fun fact: Did you know that former President Jimmy Carter ran through an empty Disneyland Park before it opened for the day in 1982? Did he inspire runDisney? We may never know!

I'm not sure about you but I have my eye on the Disneyland Halloween 10K with the Haunted Mansion theme. It looks like a screaming good time and I sure hope to see some grim grinning ghosts on race day!

Make sure to set your alarm for registration day because all races are sure to sell out quickly. General registration begins on February 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM Eastern Time. Though, if you miss out, I heard at the Haunted Mansion there's always room for one more. I'll bet you're "THE one!

    Happy haunting... I mean, running!
