What characters are featured on Discovery Island? I see 3 different area's but don't know who is there! There is also 1 area in between Africa and Asia(any idea who is there?) And then 2 area's in DinoLand U.S.A.? Any help would be nice. Thanks!

Hi Judy! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Disney's Animal Kingdom is my absolute favorite park. There are so many things to see and do, and the detail put into the themed areas is amazing.

The Character meet-and-greets are really cool because they are typically exclusive to Animal Kingdom. Here you can find characters that you wouldn't normally see in other parks, and you'll find your favorite characters adorned in safari gear.

I picked up a Times Guide on my recent trip to Animal Kingdom, and these were the characters listed:

-Chip 'n' Dale at Rafiki's Planet Watch
-Pocahontas at the Character Landing in Discovery Island
    -Donald Duck in DinoLand U.S.A
    -Canine Pals in DinoLand U.S.A
-Baloo and King Louie across from Upcountry in Asia
-Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse at the Adventurers Outpost in Discovery Island
    -Tarzan at Discovery Island Trail
    -Rafiki at Rafiki's Planet Watch
-Wilderness Explorer Friends in Discovery Island

As always, characters are subject to change, so I highly suggest picking up a Times Guide upon entering the park to get the most accurate information.

Feel free to stop by with more questions, I'd be happy to answer them!

    Have a magical day!
