What characters besides the Star Wars characters are unable to sign or use a stamp for meeting and greets? Our roaming character is able to sign? Will Bluey and bingo when they join the Animal Kingdom be able to sign?

    Hiya, Rachel! Welcome to planDisney!

Everyone has a favorite thing at Walt Disney World. For some guests it's the rides, and for others it's the fireworks and shows. Some are here for the snacks and shopping. And for some, meeting their favorite characters is what keeps them coming back to the Vacation Kingdom of the World.

There isn’t an official list of the characters that are unable to sign their names, use a stamp, or hand out a pre-signed card. As you mentioned, characters in the Star Wars universe don’t sign their names (that’s an Earth culture thing, I guess), and other characters, such as Kevin from the movie Up, can’t provide an autograph on account of not having hands. Character availability and schedules are subject to change, and sometimes certain situations might not allow for a character to give an autograph (if they are walking to their scheduled meeting spot, for instance). If you have any questions about which characters can or cannot give an autograph, just ask the friendly Cast Member at the entrance to the character experience or who is standing nearby.

Like you, I’m excited for the chance to meet Bluey and Bingo at the Animal Kingdom later this summer. Details about whether or not they’ll sign autographs haven’t been shared yet, but the Disney Parks Blog does mention a photo opportunity, so fingers (and paws) crossed. The post also mentions that guests will be able to play games like keep uppy and can see animals native to Australia. It sounds like it is going to be super fun!

As you explore the theme parks, make sure you have the My Disney Experience app downloaded to your mobile device. It’s the best way to get up-to-date information on character experience times and locations. You can either search for your favorite character or go to the map and select the characters icon from the top row of filters. Markers for nearby character experiences will appear, and you can tap the marker to see their next scheduled appearance

Rachel, I hope this information is useful for your vacation planning. Pop back if you have any other questions. Your planDisney pals are here to help!

    Magical travels!
